News Values- Appropriate?

Given that Hurricane Ike has caused so much destruction in several different aspects of life in Texas, you would think they wouldn't have to come up with a story like this...

I agree. I read the lead and the nut graph still was not quite sure what the focus of the article was about. Was it about the musician or was it about the caskets coming out of the ground?
and...
where is the sensitivity in this issue? I'm pretty sure that Texas has bigger problems right now than caskets rising out of the ground... like evacuating people, building shelters, or maybe reporting newsworthy stories?

Sigh. I must confess. I *love* stories like this. It's a grotesque detail, but it does show yet another cost of the storm. If you are assigning a hundred stories about the storm, this is one of the last ones you assign. But it is *an aspect*. News is a mosaic, as I like to say.
